Building an End to End Azure Data Platform

In this all day workshop you will learn how Azure Data Services can be used to implement a modern data warehouse.
You will learn the main concepts related to Advanced Analytics and Big Data processing and which Azure services can be used to establish the underlying data platform.

We will deploy Azure Synapse Analytics - which is the next evolution of Azure SQL Data Warehouse which brings together big data, data warehousing, and data integration into a single service for end-to-end analytics at cloud scale.

The session will combine theory and demonstrations which will gradually build out our data platform - from using Azure ARM templates to build out an Azure SQL Database hosting our reference data then deploying Azure Synapse Analytics and using data bricks and Spark to digest big data files. Finally we will look at how AI using Cognitive Services Computer Vision API can be used to generate metadata and store this in a CosmosDB database.

Audience:
This session is geared towards Data Professionals (DEV and DBA) who want to implement their Data Platform in Azure.
If you want to see what Azure Data Services there are an how you can utilise them to their full extent this is the session for you.

Workshops:

1. Deploying an End to End Azure Data Platform
2. Load data into Azure Synapse Analytics using Azure Data Factory Pipelines
3. Transform Big Data using Azure Data Factory Mapping Data Flows
4. Explore Big Data using Azure Databricks
5. Adding AI to your Big Data Pipeline with Cognitive Services
6. Ingest and Analyse real-time data with Event Hubs and Stream Analytics
