Professional AI-Assisted Development with Cursor: From Vibecoding to Production-Ready Code

Room 6Tue 12 May • 13:15–14:15AI & AgentsIntermediate
This talk explores a planning-first approach to AI-assisted development, where comprehensive specs and user stories are created before writing code. I'll demonstrate how tools like Claude can refine these plans by identifying edge cases and gaps, and how MCP integration with tools like Figma can be integrated directly into development workflows. The session covers practical strategies for managing context in large codebases, orchestrating multiple AI agents, and selecting the right models for different tasks. We'll also survey the evolving landscape of AI coding tools and share insights on when to use different approaches for planning versus implementation.

About the speaker

Xavier Decuyper

Hi, my name is Xavier! I'm a developer and educator. I love taking complicated topics and demystifying them. That lead me to create the YouTube channel Simply Explained. I'm currently AI integrator at Agentix, where we integrate AI into business flows. AI is cool, but we strive to also make it deliver value for our customers. I'm also the lead developer of ThinkTank, an AI workspace that is tailored for organizations. In a previous life, I was a concept designer and prototyper at a large bank in Belgium. There, I bridged the worlds of developers, designers and product owners to create new solutions.
