From Automation to Intelligence: Using Power Automate GPT Prompts for Smarter Document Processing

Room 5Wed 13 May • 08:30–09:30Workplace & ProductivityIntermediate
Document automation has evolved beyond simple workflows. With GPT prompts in Power Automate, organizations can now add intelligence to every step of their document processes. This session demonstrates how to design and use GPT prompts to interpret, summarize, and extract key details from incoming documents without writing custom code or relying on traditional OCR tools. You’ll see how to automatically capture documents from email, store them in SharePoint, and use Power Automate GPT actions to generate structured outputs in Dataverse. A Power App then surfaces the processed data for review and approvals. We’ll cover prompt design techniques, error handling, and best practices for ensuring reliable, secure automation at scale. Whether you manage invoices, contracts, or forms, this session will show how Power Automate with GPT prompts can transform everyday document handling into an intelligent, time-saving workflow.
